Supernatural, the long-running CW show (formerly on the WB, that’s how old it is), was intended as a five-years-only affair. God has always been absent in the history of Supernatural, yet Season 11 has been building up to his return to fight The Darkness in the season finale. But is this a bad idea? God's return, while not confirmed, is a highly anticipated moment in Supernatural. News that Chuck is returning in Supernatural Season 11: Episode 20 has led fans to believe that we might finally see Chuck reveal himself as God and destroy The Darkness. Yesterday, The CW announced the glorious news that “Supernatural” will be coming back for its 12th season this fall. What may be even more glorious news is learning that the groundwork is already in place for there to be a thirteenth. According to Deadline, show stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles already had contracts in place for the two of them to continue doing the show for two more years provided that the network wants them. The CW is going to look very, very similar next season. The network has officially renewed all 10 shows currently on the air, as well asReign. This means freshman series like Legends of Tomorrow and the low-rated Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will both be returning for the 2016-2017 TV season.
