'Supernatural' Season 11: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki Finish Filming, Episode 19 Details

Posted by on

It's been a while since fans got their regular dose of Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) Winchester on "Supernatural" since the CW series is on a short break. Fortunately, the cast and crew finished filming the last scene of season 11 on Tuesday, April 19.

Padalecki shared a picture on Twitter in which he, Ackles and Misha Collins (who plays Castiel/Lucifer) are seen sitting on the steps of a trailer holding a sign that reads, "The End Is Near."

Ackles and Padalecki celebrated the last day on set by sharing a hearty meal at a restaurant in Vancouver, Canada. The smiling hunks even snapped a picture with the chef of the restaurant. Since shooting has wrapped up, "Supernatural" will resume next week.

In the last aired episode, Dean and Sam realized that, in order to defeat Amara/The Darkness, one of God's chosen had to use a Hand of God. In the upcoming episode, the supernatural hunting duo will set Amara's problem aside to do some good old-fashioned hunting.

The synopsis of episode 19 on SpoilerTV reads: In a small town in Colorado, mysterious disappearances happen every 27 years. Sam and Dean head to the town to investigate and meet two hunters who have a personal vendetta against these once-in-a-generation monsters.

As we reported earlier, "The Vampire Diaries" actress Elizabeth Blackmore will star in multiple episodes of season 11 and season 12 as the mysterious Lady Toni Bevell.

A familiar face will also return to the series. Rob Benedict will reprise his role as the all-powerful prophet Chuck in season 11, episode 20. Speculation suggests that he may be the person who uses the Hand of God against Amara since he is God's chosen one.

"Supernatural" season 11 returns with "The Chitters" on Wednesday, April 27, at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
